GTA 6 Price Rumor Sparks Fan Reactions Ahead of Launch

Speculative fan-made logo for Grand Theft Auto VI, featuring bold 'GTA' text with a colorful gradient design, not officially released by Rockstar Games

Fans can barely contain their excitement as Grand Theft Auto 6 inches closer to release. Players everywhere are eagerly waiting for Rockstar Games to finally share more news. The game, set to be one of the most talked-about releases in years, already has fans speculating about every detail—and now, what looks like a leaked price tag has the community talking even more.

Unconfirmed UK and US Listings Surface

An emerging listing on the digital storefront Loaded (previously known as CDKeys) has caught players’ attention. The store briefly displayed the base edition of GTA 6 at £89.99 in the UK and $124.19 in the US. The game cannot currently be purchased, and the listing applies only to a digital version.

The high price got people talking fast. Fans are asking whether this hints at bigger price tags for major releases. There’s growing worry that if these prices stick around, studios might have to rethink how they bring their biggest games to market.

Fans Push Back on Rising Game Prices

Gamers have been speaking out online, saying that if high prices become the new normal, it could make it harder for many people to afford the games they love. Discussions compared the possible GTA 6 price to earlier debates about pricing in blockbuster franchises, with several fans advocating for consumer awareness before major preorders open.

Placeholder Price Considered Most Likely

Industry watchers, however, believe there’s little cause for alarm. The listed prices are very likely placeholders, not official figures. Shops often put up temporary prices while they wait for game makers to announce the real cost. Once Rockstar shares official details, expect to see the actual price show up first on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and big retailers like Amazon.

Waiting on Word From Rockstar

With Grand Theft Auto 6 still on track for a November launch, fans expect Rockstar to drop more solid details in the coming weeks. Fans are eagerly awaiting details about the different editions, pre-order bonuses, and the true cost of one of gaming’s most anticipated titles.

Until then, the community continues to speculate—and hope that the final number won’t break the bank.
